Product Description

sIMPLEk_NanosIMPLEk_Nano

sIMPLEk Pro tuning module for Bosch Smart System (Nano Edition)

Compatible with the Performance Line (CX) Smart System motor with conventional speed sensor (no magnet on the rear valve). Speed limit for engine support can be adjusted via menu. The actual speed remains readable, average speed, maximum speed, distance kilometres and total kilometres are displayed correctly. Stealth mode to reduce error messages is integrated and can be activated/deactivated

Easy installation thanks to precisely fitting waterproof connector. These are self-constructions made using the high-quality 3D printing process. Thus, the module can be easily installed and removed without leaving a trace. In the standard configuration, the e-bike always starts with deactivated tuning without intervention

¹The actual speed is displayed correctly via the second digit and decimal place of the speed display with not reduced speed limit. If speed limits are lowered, values must be deducted mentally. The average speed is displayed briefly with each hold when activated. The maximum speed and the distance indicators are displayed after approx. one minute at standstill.

The operation of the sIMPLEk Pro within the scope or Area of effect of the German Road Traffic Regulations is prohibited and not permitted.

The speed remains readable in tuning mode¹:

Tuning_On_OffTuning_On_Off

With not reduced speed limit in normal mode and in stealth mode, the speed remains readable over the entire range. Up to 22 km/h, the speed is output normally. Above 22 km/h, it is displayed via the second digit and the decimal place. From the set speed limit, the speed is returned to normal. This means that the average speed in the display always remains within the inconspicuous realistic range. This trick has been in use with our modules for over 6 years and has proven itself well. Examples:

Shown 22.9 km/h corresponds to 29 km/h. Shown 23.4 km/h corresponds to 34 km/h. Shown 24.2 km/h corresponds to 42 km/h

The current average speed is displayed briefly after each stop (when enabled). The distance kilometres travelled are automatically added after one minute at a standstill (if not deactivated). Thus, at the end of the tour maximum speed, distance and total kilometres are correct.

The throttling with the module extends over a range of approx. 7 km/h. This allows support even at high speeds, while the risk of tuning detection remains low. This also protects battery consumption.

For this purpose, a one-time simple calibration is necessary, which starts automatically at the first commissioning: An increasing speed is displayed on the speedometer. As soon as the desired calibration value is displayed, the e-bike must be switched off and then switched on again. Now a speed increasing in small steps is displayed on the speedometer and it must be switched off again at the exact desired calibration value.

Easy to activate and deactivate even while driving:

Activation_1Activation_1

Turn on the e-bike

Activation_2Activation_2

Electric bike after it is fully booted off within 10 seconds

Activation_3Activation_3

When switched on again, the tuning mode is active (signaled by the displayed 10.0 km/h) and remains active until the bike is switched off again.

sIMPLEk_Nnao_MenusIMPLEk_Nnao_Menu

The settings menu can be accessed by starting the tuning mode and then waiting for the displayed 10 km/h to jump to 11 km/h after approximately 15 seconds. Then the individual menu items listed can be selected by generating sensor signals (turning the rear wheel). The selection is confirmed by switching off the bike when the menu item is selected. The menu can be canceled at any time by driving off.

Speed limit for engine support can be adjusted:

sIMPLEk Nano_Speed SettingsIMPLEk Nano_Speed Setting

After selecting the menu item 12 (speed limit for engine support), a falling speed is displayed when switching on again starting from the current setting value. One sensor pulse changes the direction (rising/falling), two sensor pulses confirm the selection for the currently displayed speed (the decimal place is not taken into account). If the e-bike is switched off within 10 seconds after selection, the value is stored permanently, otherwise the setting only applies to the current ride.
