Our electric bike hub motors are characterised by their high quality and compatibility. With these hub motors, almost any bike can be easily converted to an e-bike/pedelec. The big advantage of transmission-translated hub motors is that the converted wheel can also be operated like a normal bike if no electrical support is desired. There is no additional friction loss or pedal resistance. The built-in planetary gear and brushless motor are technically precisely matched and thus offer a unique e-bike experience. The motors impress with their smooth running and performance even at low speeds. Despite its light weight and compact size, the hub motor can have high torque thanks to its gear ratio. All components are tested to the highest industry standards that allow no dust or moisture to penetrate. The motors feature a standard 6-hole brake disc mount that can be used to mount your existing brake disc where applicable. Jaw brakes can also be used with this motor when using a suitable rim.
The motor cable connects motor and controller. It is used for electricity and information exchange between the two components and the remaining e-bike system. If you look more closely at the plug for connecting to the motor (black 9 pin plug), you will see nine different pins.
The three thicker pins control the three engine phases, which means that the respective windings are supplied with power. This is redirected from the battery via the controller. The current regulation is controlled via the display by selecting different support levels. For each engine phase, there is a hall sensor. These sit in the engine and provide feedback about the current position of the engine. Thanks to this information exchange between the motor and controller, the controller can better regulate the motor, which ensures smooth running of the engine. There is also a speed sensor. This is also used to regulate the engine. In addition, information is transmitted to the display via the controller, which can thus provide the speed specifications. The 5 volt power supply is used to supply the sensors. These work on a 5V base. The pin in the middle is the negative pole. Here the potential compensation is produced. With the motor cable of the professional plug system, the 9 pins can be divided and the 6 thin wires remain unoccupied if required.

Function: With the e-bike front wheel hub motor from windmeile almost any bike can be easily converted to an e-bike/pedelec.
Technical features: our hub motor in black has a power of 250 W and 19.5 Nm torque at a voltage of 36 V. Hall sensors and speed sensors are integrated. The motor also has a standard 6-hole brake disc mount that can be used to mount your existing brake disc. Our motors are suitable for both disc and V-brakes.
Physical features: the 20 inch wheel of the type hollow chamber rim has a valve hole of 8.5 mm (Dunlop and Schrader valves), a mounting width of 100 mm and a mouth width of 25 mm. The aluminium 6061-T6 front wheel also has a hole number of 36 holes. The front wheel motor is 100 mm wide and has a diameter of 144 mm.
Connection: A 9 pin motor cable is required to connect to the controller. This can be found in our store, either with waterproof plugs (Julet) or professional plugs (JST).
